Happy Long Weekend, Trouties & FSG! As always your poem rocks! The bright side is the more b*rd the humans eat, the more of the good stuff that's left for us.

We sure hope you have a happy and safe, burd-free Thanksgiving. (We're in Canada, so we had ours in October.)

Take care! ❤

You kitties should write history books. You are so good at telling the story. Have a nice Thanksgiving! Hopefully you can have sardines instead. XO

Happy Thanksgiving all you Tabbies. I loved the poetry. It was a classic that I may save just to enjoy reading again. Much trout to ye all, and love too.

Thank you for the good wishes, and same right back atcha!
No bastard bird eaten by the humans here, but the kitties must have their protein.

Bleubeard LOVES turkey breast. Won't touch anything but the white meat. Sadly, this year, veggies won out and there will be NO basturd bird to cook or eat.

You tabbies are such wonderful friends. SO thankful for you and the FSG, who keeps your bowls full, too. I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving this year, because I am THANKFUL you are so GIVING of your time and comments. Bless you all. Have a super weekend, too.

Don't go sticking any hands up there like the humans, it may get stuck/ Turkey hand!

Still funny 😺 I'm not a big fan of the basturd burd, but Himself likes it so I can afford to be magnanimous once a year. I'd rather be having lasagna and eggplant Parmigiana. We're having the eggplant P because that's always a side that graces my family's special occasion and holiday dinners. Ink was allergic to seafood. Go figure. But he loved chicken, pork, steak, and turkey. Hope everyone in Trout Towne has a wonderful day.

No burdz here--come on by, kids! Happy Thanksgiving to you and FSG!

Yes, that is exactly how it happened, Tabbies! Our mom and dad had pizza tonight, and tomorrow, they will NOT be eating turkey burd. Happy Thanksgiving, pals. We love you1

Ha! I chuckled over the poor first turkey to be 'shot dead'. I shouldn't laugh over his fate, though... And as for roast pork, I'm up for that, too.

MOL MOL while we do like Turkey ... Thanksgiving at the Grands is the best cause Grandpa cooks a ham and sausage along with the Turkey.

The Whiskeratti said...

I hope you had a good holiday. No bad burd for me either over here!

Smudge said...

Among many, many other things we're thankful for this hilarious, festive ditty! Me and dad can always count on y'all to make us laugh til we pee our pants. Mom and dad passed on the turkey this year, opting instead for a nice rib roast, dad's homemade stuffing and garlic roasted fresh Brussels Sprouts, which will split the billing on our next up post.

Happy Thanksgiving, belatedly!

That is such a catchy tune and song. Frankly we all need to eat plants and whole grains and we would all then be singing a healthier happy tune. Now I must head off as apparently there are some mice trying to move in somewhere they oughtn't, MOL

Hahahaha. That about sums it up. Our turkey DID NOT turn out well this year ... it was probably tougher than a shoe! I suppose that's the turkey's revenge for eating him?
