That was a terrible thing that hare did to the geranium. If only the hare could be converted to a lawn mower . . . Stay cool, mes amis--xoxo, Bibi & Meep

Doggone hare. Hope it gave him indigestion!

That poor geranium is hare today...gone tomorrow.

Mom bean says that apparently that geranium was especially tasty. Yuck!
Hopefully the hare leaves the rest of the plants alone.

I agree with Brian...poor Gerry Geranium...this was surely a 'hare' raising nightmare. All that time it took Gerry to grow and flourish and all the TLC from FSG...in a New York Minute speedy hare ate it. YES indeed who issued that invitation? Cheeky little hare sitting smack in the middle like the owns it. Now that I have read this I'm 100000% sure it was a hare who ate my hosta leaves to the nub...but low and behold the spike was not bothered. I bloomed but boy did it look funny sticking up like that just out of the dirt without any glorious foliage. Sending my sincere sympathy
PS thank FSG for this hilarious (sorry Gerry) story. I laugh with you not at you as I too have been under 'hare' attack
Hugs Cecilia

Oh no what a bad rabbit. Bet it was fun trying to catch him. Sending lots of purrs from Patch and Flower. We have been good girls this week, only been catching furry things. x

Oh no, that poor geranium. It didn't stand a chance against Evil Hare.

Wow, that bass turd hare was mighty hungry. We are sorry it was at the expense of your geranium!

The Island Cats said...

What a rude bunny not even asking if he could make lunch out of that geranium.

Ruby Rose and the Big Little Angels 3 said...

You need a tortoise to beat that hare.

Tamago said...

OMC that bass terd hare! He was fully on that geranium and seriously left nothing! Well he invited himself to the lunch, now you gotta invite him to your lunch table!

John Bellen said...

Wow, he ate it right down to the ground, didn't he? It must have been very tasty to him, a delicacy. No wonder he didn't budge, even with all the cat commotion going on...

Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs said...

Wow, that rabbit thought he had it made, till it was gone...now what will he nosh on?

The nerve he has, sheesh. Did he not see the no trespassing sign?

Question for the day. Why can't that hare eat kibble instead of geraniums like a normal four-pawed critter?

Mickey's Musings said...

We feel your pain Tabbies!!
All of our hostas are inside the bellies of the vishus deer!!!!
At least the other critters eat some weeds :/

Oh, we know how it feels when they do that, Tabbies. We didn't know that they eat Geraniums...well, now we do. We have to admit that it's a cute little bunny though...MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to all of you🐾😽💞

Oh no!! That poor geranium. But that chomper is one little cutie!

Smudge said...

How dare that hare! Why, for demolishing that geranium you oughta bonk him on the cranium!!

Pat Hatt said...

What a daring hare. Then again, maybe he just thought he'd clear it out so you could use it for litter art lol

vic said...

I've got a couple of his cuzins livin' here--eatin' me out of house and home!

The J-Cats said...

Yup! That geranium is definitely a goner.
We have a sort of bunny cousin who lives with Mummy's stepsister. She pees on effurrything and effurrybody (the bunny, not Our Step-Auntie - MOL), but We neffur yet heard of her daring to eat their geraniums - and they have a LOT of geraniums!

The Swiss Cats said...

Poor geranium ! What a rude bunny ! Purrs

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, even the bass terd hare.

Peepers is gonna be joinin' your fest on account of some BEE (or wasp) havin' stung her and now makin' her ITCH. Well technically, the itch is gonna come later. Right now she says it just hurts. MOUSES!

Bleubeard and Elizabeth said...

I have NO IDEA how I missed this post, but I agree that the bunny is a real menace. By now I'm sure it has found greener pastures, or geraniums, but it has done nothing for your plants.

If you buy another geranium, you should get a warranty to have the seller replace it if a bunny attacks it.

Squiggles would like to thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes. It made him feel special for once.

Momma Kat and Her Bear Cat (Katherine Kern) said...

That DEFINITELY could not be mistaken for a bunny buffet (aka garden). The nerve of that bunny! That said ... shortly after I adopted Bear Cat, we moved. I got a plant as a housewarming gift - so I put it in the window. Next morning, I came out to an empty pot and a pile of soil. The ENTIRE plant was gone - roots and all. All these years, I've blamed Bear ... but perhaps that bunny or a bunny gang of his relatives broke into our house and stole the plant, framing Bear!

Sandra Cox said...

Is that geranium making a comeback or is it flat out gone?

Sasha said...

How awful that it was all eaten!

Cathy Keisha said...

Whoa! Easter bunnies are supposed to bring treats, not eat them. Only thing worthwhile would be if after eating the geraniums, he sh@t out some chocolate.
