Oh my mother of pearl our mom would have crapped her pants if she would have seen that sucker and screamed so hard your ears drums and ours would have busted, I imagine she would not only stay under the bed, but we would have to bring her a knock out drug, water and food. You were exceptionally brave. Mags and Gusser

I don't blame you guys for being afraid of snakes. I don't like spiders and snakes and that ain't what it takes to love me...

The Whiskeratti said...

Ewwww! Maybe someplace high up would be better.

Eastside Cats said...

Well, I happen to LIKE snakes...but I don't want one in my house!

Pat Hatt said...

Hmmm you might want to head for the hills, or on top the fridge or counter. They may slither under the bed.

Greg_1948 in_WA said...

I agree that under the bed is no place to be hiding from the slithery things. You need to get up high where you can see them coming for you with their wiggly forked tongues darking in and out. They sniff you with their tongues you know.

Yo Tuna and Daisy! We had a worm right in my pink beddie once. *SCREE* Luckily we don't get snakes here or I'd be picking TW off the ceiling.
Thanks for the shout out. Glad that our post helped at least one furrend.

Yikes! That is a scary snake! I would be under the bed too, if I could fit there. XO

Oh that SNAKE PIT! What bravery! What daring do! What ....Huh? Oh, well as I was saying...Dai$y, Tuna...need some helps? I'm ready.

Brian's Home Blog said...

I think y’all are in the safest place and you can make sure the snakes don’t eat the dust bunnies!

Ivan from WMD said...

Hey...that snake looks like....ELLIOTT'S TAIL!!!

A few Good Cats said...

A good first step, guys. You faced your fears for a little bit. Next time will be even better.

John Bellen said...

Well, everyone has their own pet fears, Tuna and Daisy. One step at a time...

The Island Cats said...

We like to think of ourselves as tough cats but a snake woulda had us under the bed lickity-split!

Bleubeard and Elizabeth said...

I'm not sure what Bleubeard and Squiggles would do if they saw a snake, and as their caregiver/pooper scooper, I don't think I want to find out! But I don't blame either of you for jumping under the bed.

I hope Dai$y gets a voice in things soon, because Squiggles thinks she's a cutie.

Be very afraid of those bad snakes kitties. Hope you have a great weekend. My sunshine has gone away for a few days. I am hoping it will be back soon. Purrs SKipper

Tamago said...

Oh Tuna, you are so brave! You are no longer sissee pantz :-) And it's nice that you and Dai$y got along when it came to getting out of snake pit. Loved your reaction LOL LOL.

Yikaroonies! you went to the s-n-a-k-e-p-I-t. Gaagh! Those are some mean creepy crawly hissing critters. Hoping you can breathe freely now, not under the bed and explain the GDPR to the rest of us! MOL-Meep

I'm with sissee pantz. I too feer snakez. Monster Kitty is the snake hunter. He's killed three little one's and ran off one not so little.

My Mind's Eye said...

Mom has been known to say the only thing she likes that crawls is a human baby. Snakes send her over the top and make her squeal like a little girl
Hugs madi your bfff

Our biped isn't troubled by snakes, once had an eastern milk snake in the garden (with Annie, Nicki and Derry out there too). That was a bit more of an adventure than SHE wanted, though, and she rather spoiled our own fun with the visitor. :-P

Now, our biped doesn't do bugs. Or arachnids. Or any manner of multi-legged creeping, crawling thing. ::shudder::

Mickey's Musings said...

We had a snake in our house once(garter snake) and mum got it in a bucket and took it outside! We hardly got a look.
You two were smart to get under the bed. No telling what that sneaky snake wanted. maybe to offer legal services ;)

Three Chatty Cats said...

I hate snakes. We have lizards here and I know that cats want to play with them. Not so sure how they'd feel about snakes though. And the reception was just fine from under the bed.

Lola The Rescued Cat said...

Snakes! Did someone say snakes?? Ummm... move over! Lexy and I are joining you under the bed!

BeadedTail said...

Well, all we can say is one look at that snake and our mommy got the eebie jeebies big time! She's a scaredy cat!

Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs said...

Believe it or not, petcretary says give her a snake any day over a spider! And she rescues them from the jaws of the canines here...MJF did and Dalton is a snake killer...terrierists you know...

We don't care for the snakes either they're just too darn sneaky.

OMS - we'll never sleep tonight, that's for sure!! Way too scary for us...is there room under the bed for seven cats and one human? Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang.

Sandra Cox said...

If dust interferes with reception, I'm in trouble:)
Hope you've got your feet up FSG:)

meowmeowmans said...

Hey, there's lots of room here under the bed, because we're right with you guys. Snakes? Nonononononono!

Smudge said...

Yeesh, snakes! Dad got a call at work the other day from a resident reporting a snake near their apartment. Expecting to find a monster-sized creature he approached with caution, only to find an approximately 6" long baby snake with, like, a 40 lb. rock on its head. Anyway, after that pleasant tale, have an awesome week, y'all. Oh, and the dust to which you refer- dad calls them Cleo tumbleweeds here.

Colehaus Cats said...

WHOA! NO! Thank goodness we don't have many of those, though once or twice, we've seen a neighbor cat carry those things around. WHAT IS THAT CAT THINKING??? Yikes!

Hairballsandhissyfits.com said...

You barely escaped with your lives!! Clearly that was the infamous black pygmy feline-eater known for its ability to mimic a plastic harmless snack and thus lure in unsuspecting victims!!!!

Guido the Italian Kitty-Big Angel Now said...

HOLY Cannoli! Youza brave meowstes for sure! Me & Myself would have needed dat bottle of Sardine Smelling Salts!

Memories of Eric and Flynn said...

If I could I would join you under the bed! Flynn had a thing about bringing back live snakes for me. He never did understand why I didn't appreciate his presents.

*lifts bedskirt* Hi Daisy! Hi Tuna! It's me, Dori. *wavy paws!* What a scary adventure yoo guys had. Maybe yoo should invite raccoons to stay at yoor house. We no like snakes at my house and never have them cuz Mom feeds them raccoons. Okay bye. Enjoy yoor stay under the bed. Purrs, Dori

Laura, thanks for stopping by my blog. Your kind words mean so much!!
Be well!

Have no fear of those slithery beasties! You have claws and sharp teeth. Mom saw a snake in the grass yesterday. She thinks its gonna have lots of younglings. Maybe they could compete in the races at the 5000 next year.
