I wish someone could drive the snakes out of the US. You have such a way of storytelling, I hope you tell us more Bible stories in your own words. XO

That was a goodie. Now all the snakes work in the Capitol building!

Them snakes didn't know what hit them, good for St. Patrick!

I'll tell you. St Patrick has it goin on, Tabbies. Smarter than a model on the runway at Oscar de la Renta's place!

A fine tale indeed! I missed it the first time round, so thanks for the replay.

Snakes have their place in the world.............BUT NOT IN MY PLACE IN THE WORLD. It gives me shivers to even think about seeing one. Spring around here brings out the copper heads.
Just got a shot of cortisone in my right knee...hoping to be back to regular walking soon
Hugs to you, Mom and the kit kats

Ireland is a beautiful country; there is ancient history there and modern marvels too.
Everyone should visit at least once, imho!

Memories of Eric and Flynn said...

It was very interesting to learn why there are no snakes in Ireland. I had always thought they had been killed off by drinking dodgy coffee! It was very fortunate that St.Patrick was able to hire a tour bus.

Sandra Cox said...

Loved this. Snakes not so much.

Mickey's Musings said...

Ooooooooooooooo! Cool story.
Guess we have snakes here though I have never seen one(it would have to come indoors and mum says no). That St Patrick sounds like quite the dood!

The Island Cats said...

So that’s how the snakes were driven out of Ireland. Who woulda thunk???

Ruby Rose and the Big Little Angels 3 said...

Thank you. It is all perfectly clear.

Bleubeard and Elizabeth said...

That sounds like a bit of blarney to me. But I'm glad you let us know how St. Patrick ran the snakes out of Ireland and why we now have them!

Them snakes have found too much of our state, thankfully...only the 'OK' ones and one kind of naughty one that should have stayed on that Pinto!

Petcretary was snorting and choking into her decaf coffee mug:)

Well, we're glad you reposted this 'cause we missed it the first time around (or dad just doesn't remember reading it). So now we know where all the snakes slithering around DC came from. Damn...

Pam and Teddy said...

Oh yes...I recall this amazing adventure but it bears repeating so we remember who to blame for all the basterd snakes in the US of A. Swell that Ireland is free of them but maybe it's time we hired a big old cargo plane and rounded up the snakes and dumped them back where they belong? If anyone can head up the snake dump committee it's YOU!

Your faithful friend,
Ted O Nator

Tell us true: if we cut off the head, does a new one grow?

CJ Kennedy said...

I'm so glad to learn the truth

Adorapurr said...

Finally, we get the honest version of this story. I always figured there was some vehicle of twansportashun involved, but who wudda guessed it was both a bus and a Pinto. Love, Dori

Seville at Nerissa's Life said...

So THAT'S what happened. MOUSES!

PS. Every summer we have snakes here in the garden but Peepers says they won't hurt us. She says they're good for the garden. She says... But then, what does Peepers know? MOUSES!

Mickey's Musings said...

MOL!!!! MOL!!!!! Thanks for doing this one. This post never gets old and I laff every time. So does mum ;)
Have a pawsome weekend!!

They leave a lot of that story out of the bible for some reason.

Whoa! This rerun was new to me! It was a good one. I wonder of St. Patrick drives the CK Tour Bus that passes our condo.

John Bellen said...

Saint Patrick...Columbus...and a bus...all existed at the same time... The things one learns on Trout TV!

Three Chatty Cats said...

I'm always up for a good rerun! And this one is hilarious!

Oh my whiskers, The Human HATES snakes!! She once launched a magazine across the room, hitting someone in the head because she came across a photo of one of those despicable creatures! She even made the decision where we would move based on areas that had the least amount of snakes and no poisonous ones!

I don't think I've ever heard that story told quite that way! Great job, kitties! I always wondered how the snakes ended up all the way over here. You gave me a good chuckle!

Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Drove the snakes out. I can just see it now. since Patric drive a gear shift, all the snakes heads bobbed every time he had to shift gears and it was the funniest sight..but hurray for the man in green robes..he saved Noah the trouble..!
