Oh no, burds and worms in the same post! Such a terrific tribute to dear Parker, we sure were sad he had to go.

How is it that you kitties are posting birds!???? Hope you have a great weekend. Purrs from Patch and Flower.

The wermz? THE WERMZ?? The same one that you... no, we're not going to think it. We're not even going to visualize it... too late. But the wermz!!!!

Kea said...

Both bird parents that stole YOUR worms and a baby bird that ATE YOUR worms?!

*N & D faint from the horror of it*

P.S. We wanted to add that it was lovely of you to post a tribute to Parker. Sigh. Life's so bittersweet.

Very sad about sweet Parker. Sorry about your nightmare literally coming true. XO

I am not sure if we knew Parker...he sure was a cutie and I am so sorry that he went to the Bridge, he was only a year older than Cody, that breaks my heart (((hugs)))

Eastside Cats said...

That's enough scary stuffs to make one sleep with the nightlight on for a month or two, kitties! Here's hoping TFSG gave you extra fishy treats to calm your nerves!

My Mind's Eye said...

Parker was a most handsome ginger Man and I loved his name very distinguished just like a male kitty should be.
You might need a ginormous Spot light in your house!!

They ate WERMZ? That's so wrong.

haha those burds are there trying to get the better of you. You may need to chop that tree down.

Saku said...

Goodness gracious, how dare they feed the babies the werms!!! Sacrilege, we say.

We will miss Parker too. He was a furry special boy and we're happy that his dad was able to be with him up to the end.

You know what they say, If you see one bird, there is a dozen in the bushes!

Feline Opines, the World from a Feline Point of View said...

Oh my whiskers, the bird stink eye is a terrible thing. We have some big birds that land on our upstairs deck and strut around, mocking us because we can't get out (although I'm not so sure I'd want to get out). I'd say you guys dodged a bullet...and we're really sorry about your worms.

Ewwww! And the stink eye too!

My heart goes out to all who loved Parker.

Birds do eat worms, it's just the way they work. Still, they should leave your worms and yard alone.

The Island Cats said...

How rude of those burds to eat your worms.

John Bellen said...

Good Heavens, it does seem to be a nightmarish ordeal you guys went through. My boy Parker used to watch the birds, too, and chatter at them. I think he shared your feelings toward them.

Thank you to everyone there for dedicating this post to my friend. He was clearly a friend to many, even to those he never met. But Parker did like to have friends...

Poppy Q said...

That was a nice post about Mr Parker. He was quite the fellow.

Bleubeard and Elizabeth said...

Sorry I'm late visiting. My electricity was out and the storms scared Squiggles who wanted to snuggle in the 245 degree heat.

I was sorry to read about Parker. He was a beautiful boy. Condolences to his family who I know are in pain right now.

That must have been a nightmare for you Tabbies. Bleubeard sits on his perch in the window of the office and watches the dreaded birds in the tree outside one of the windows. He's so used to them they don't even wake him anymore. Too bad you poor Tabbies were put through that nightmare, even during the daytime. Sleep safe and dream of good things tonight.

Erin the Cat Princess said...

We were so sorry to hear about Parker; he will be dearly missed, I know.
Oh man! Baby birds are just as bad as baby humans, both eat worms, and scream a lot, MOL One great thing about birds is they fly away quite quickly, the other is they taste nice, too. MOL

That's a lovely dedication to Parker.
I hope you don't get any more daytime nightmares! Stealing your wermz is unforgivable!

Pam and Teddy said...

Oh the horror! Baby burds and wermz too??? Is there no mercy? We did not know Parker but we are ALWAYS sad when "one of us" goes to the Bridge - we left a message on their blog. It's getting crowded up there I bet - so many of our friends and family flying around in the sunshine 24/7 or whatever kind of time they have at the Bridge. I still feel Angel Sammy visiting me from time to time.....and that makes me happy.

Sending you hugs and thanks for being our friends...
Love, Ted-o-nator

Cross the Rainbow Bridge, Parker. Sorry Tuna about laughing at your horror of the birds. Ink loved birds. Loved to watch the birds and sometime he made funny noises in his throat and his jaw would vibrate. Like he was imagining himself crushing the little bird's throat.

Tamago said...

Oh my that's a nightmare indeed! Those bass terd burds are invading your yard! And worms...they are supposed to be for fishies!
You cracked me up with "compose not a song but our minds" line :-)

Lovely tribute for Parker xo

Meep said...

We did not know Parker but he was truly a handsome fella and will be missed by those he loved/loved him. Out hearts go out to his peeps and pawpals.

Oh the early birds caught some werms and ate them--yuck. Much better to feed them to the fishes. Birds also eat insects so they should leave your wermies alone.

So cute. Both the darlin' little robin and the post. But don't tell the tabbies I used the word cute. I don't think they'd approve:)

Parker: Blessings.

ANGEL ABBYGRACE said...

OH goodness those stinkin burds!
On a different note, we were hit hard by Parker's loss and even though his Dad did all he could to prepare himself and us for it, it was still so hard. what a glorious tribute to handsome Parker.

The Swiss Cats said...

We're sorry for the loss of your friend Parker. Those birds are gross, eating worms, yuck ! Purrs

Katie Isabella said...

Parker's loss just knocked mom and me into a blue mood. She had leaky eyes,.

Tell you what. Let's put our heads together and come up with a plan for those wee baby birds! How dare they? And their parents taking perfectly good fishing worms and giving it to THEM! Let's plan a meeting.

Momma Kat and Her Bear Cat (Katherine Kern) said...

This is completely selfish of me - but seeing that Parker was born in 2006 freaks me out as Bear was born the same year. I don't know what I'll do without him. I'm more than glad to put up with the bass terd birds for him!

Three Chatty Cats said...

Oh my! Birds and worms! Too much excitement going on over there!!

Fr. Tom Fish said...

Holy cats! We didn't know about Parker, so we'll have to go visit his dad and give him some extra purrs. Birds and worms and tabbies, oh, my! - Tom x

Annie Bear said...

Parker is a beautiful kitty. It's very nice of you to remember your friend.

Your fishing wermz went to a baby bass terd? What is this world coming to?

meowmeowmans said...

What a special and lovely tribute to Parker. <3

Those bass terd burdz stole your wermz? That is just wrong!!!

Smudge said...

Oh my cod, how dare they!

Herman and Dori said...

We are so sorry to hear about Parker. Yoo are a good furend to pay tribute to him. As for them bastard burds who stoled your wermz... Wermz are yucky. They are tasteless unless yoo add catsup. Just saying. Better off without them.

Just Mags said...

The next time you see burds at your place have your mama go out and shoo them toward our way we will let them sit in our trees and eat our worms. The nerve of them coming to your place. Hugs and nose kisses

Hairballsandhissyfits.com said...

OH Boy!! He was indeed giving you the eye! What has the world come to that an entire family of flying FOUL (get it??) can take over your yard!!??

Just Ducky said...

I haven't seen many baby fevvers this year. Maybe that means less for next year.

Sandra Cox said...

Is that sweet little bass terd still hanging around?

Sandra Cox said...

The BASS TERD ate the fishing worms. The indignity of it.
Heh.

Parker is most surely missed so very much, but he will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

OMC, a burd stealing your worms?? Eeek. Maybe by now he/she will be outta there...we can only hope!
