Well, a tell-all-tale fur sure, or is it a "fish story"? Ten years old and flaunting her knickers it seems to all da boyz at the five-and-dime. And which of the seven lucky lads took you to the Friday night sock hop? Do tell. Any grabbin' goings-on near the playground when the coach a/k/a chappyrone wasn't watching? Never knew that Trout Towne was a mini peyton place .................

Charlee: "Retro Valentines! Our Dada says they remind him of the ones they had in elementary school, only just a little bit older."
Chaplin: "There are things older than Dada?"
Charlee: "I know right? I don't really believe it either."

Petcretary has a few cards she saved from her way back when school days...they were all so cute in that time.
We always got to have a little classroom party.

They SHOULD be saved, guys. They are history - social and personal. (And I remember similar ones from a generation later.)

That is very cool to have those old cards. If I get a card from my wife, I keep it for a few days, photograph it, then throw it out. I'm sentimental that way.

Beautiful cards. Wish I has so many. lol We are keeping our Daddy busy as he has broken his leg and not good on crutches. We are being super helpfully by getting in the way. lol Still not caught that rude squirrel who comes into our garden and steal the food. One day! Purrs from Patch, Flower and Archer. xxx

I bet these were from kids in her class. I've been told that children used to take these types of valentines to school and pass them out, I've even seen some my grandmother saved that had been my mother's when she was in kindergarten. Love these retro cards a LOT, Laura. Thank your mom for sharing them with us please.

Food Service girl's mom certainly had a lot of admirers back in the day. Our mom remembers Valentine's much like these, but they were from the 50s when she was a little girl. She never got any from the boys though. Thanks for sharing. Once again, we are not getting notices when you post. Mom will have to do a better job popping over to see if you've posted. Sending lots of warm hugs. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

Mom sure wishes she had saved hers from school. Seeing these brought back memories. And I wonder if kids even do this anymore. XXXX Happy Valentine's Day.
