I had not expected da tabbiez to harbor so many artistic talents! You have fabric as well as ceramic artists! What a lucky household! And I'm glad to see that you view sisal mats as beneath you, in so many ways! My Daisy approves!

Mack, you obviously know how to use the tools at your disposal!
Da boyz have scratched away the wallpaper in the kitchen, and are now working on the antique drop ceiling when they are on top of the refrigerator. They use every scratcher that we have, but must scratch on the walls, ceiling, etc. also.

Arte não se discute, se admira. Seus gatos são verdadeiros artistas.

You sure got the right stuff, Mackerull! Keep up the good work.

Good grief. I did laugh at the last piece:)
Callie creates her art on the door frames. Bless her:) So I put up sticky tape, which Frank brushes against and now I have hairy door frames. Heh.

Mackerull, you're so talented especially with the titles of your artwork. I don't blame you for not using the scratchin' sisal because Tuna yacked on it.

You are a true artist, Mack. In art speak you are a mixed media artist with skills that cross borders, just like the wall board-er. Soon you will advance from fabric designer to wood carver. Hope the FSG isn't too mad about that old stuff that is probably irreplaceable. Keep up the inspiring art little man.

You are immensely talented. Why bother with that scratcher when there is so much to work on?

Gee Mackerull, you have been a busy and creative boy ;)
Pawsome art today. I can tell you've been working hard on it for a while.
It's pawsome !!!!!!!

This is a true story: Mommy's niece married a German man whose mother is a big artist there. She takes dirt, makes paint out of it, then paint squares on the canvas that looks like dirt. If that is work than yours are a masterpiece.

Pam and Teddy said...

Very artistic "fabric art" indeed....some peeps do this stuff on purpose and well it for big bucks. I myself have given this art form a try and my Mom's studio couch appears to have a number of sheep bustin' out thanks to me! Bravo - long live fabric art!

Bravo Mackerull! With so many mediums to work with you can release your creative genius!

This brings back memories of one of the mom bean's couches that Sami and Saku took apart. They did a great job! (Mom bean that anti-scratching spray ain't worth a damn).
Great work Mackerul!

ha. norma and alias don't understand when i start hollering when they are scratching the furniture that is right next to a scratching post.

The Feline Cafe is also full of many unusual but somewhat similar pieces of art--Cat Chic.

We LOVE your art! Queen Nellie used to decorate the furniture with her art, just like that. Since then, Mom has bought leather sofas. And Mom got rid of the kitchen sisal mat, between hurl marks and scratches it looked like camouflage fabric.

Catscue Cat Mom said...

Wow, that looks like a major undertaking, what a masterpiece! We hide our kitties masterpieces under throw blankets, but maybe we should rethink that and display them for all to see - thanks for the new perspective. BTW, ya'll ALWAYS give me a good belly laugh!

I love that picture of Mackerull. He's so handsome.

Three Chatty Cats said...

Oh my gosh, all of these made me laugh out loud! We have some works of art that look a little similar over here!

John Bellen said...

I have scratching posts all over the apartment, sisal rope on the trees, and yet Neville and now Portia love the coreners of couches and chairs. Every cat loves to create art.

Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs said...

Wow, Mack, your artistic skills are amazing and amewsing to see...

The best one here from our feline days, (gone past...), is carpet strands peeking out from under the door...haha! I guess that is peekaboo art!! Pipo was good at making art out of the shrink wrap around those water bottles...but now we use our refillable ones, so if he was still here, we would have to observe him for other talents and mediums he might invent!

Lola The Rescued Cat said...

So, our mom bought these plastic things to cover the furniture where we scratch. But guess what? We can scratch around it! MOL

Good to see a little Mackerull tv for a chance of pace. The artwork is breathtaking...Jackson Pawllock, Pawcasso, Clawed Monet, move over!!! To create such amazing pieces with such intensity..throwing oneself and one's claws into all this creativity..hehehehhehahaha!!

We really loved "RITE SIDE FACIN LOVE SEET" but then, as we rounded the corner we saw "SHEEP THAT IZ TRYIN TA BUST OUTTA DE CLOTHE" and were floored. When "FRAGEEL OTTOMANZ THREADZ, BLOWIN WESTER LEE, ON GENTLE BREEZ" was presented we knew, knew the World Has a New Master of the Art! Mackerull! Sculpture Extraordinaire! or is that Kinetic Artiste?

Katie Isabella said...

AMEN!

Katie Isabella said...

My mom and me...we agree 10005 % with Timmy and his Dad Pete about your art work! Mackerull, you have risen to the top (of the love seat) of the art world. The pinnacle! What genius you have shown. I know handlers are knocking the surviss gurl's door down trying to sign you up for galleries all over the Cat Blogosphere! Dai$y, let's take his portfolio with us when we hit the jetway again and head to Morocco. I need fabric. I know you do too. Their fabric shreds so satisfyingly!
XO

Mackerull, we thought those masterpieces were GRATE! We think our mom aged a little, though.

You never lack in creativity with your art! Each one is so-o original with so much meaning and thought that goes into them. Purr purr purr.
