Staying home and watching movies is so much nice, no silly people to deal with. Sounds like a good movie, might have to watch it. Have a great weekend kitties and hope it's bird free. Skipper:)

Yikes! We think that one might be too scary for us! Certainly the thought of a fly landing on grilled salmon is horrific! :-O

OMCs. mom made a mess trying to type with her eyes closed. She remembers that moving and to this day she H A T E S flies.
when she was a wee girl her granny used to swat them lickety split because she said, 'you never know where those flies landed before the landed on your food'!!!
Hugs madi your bfff

Great job, guys. I remember The Fly from when I was a kid. I was so disgusted by it! Svenghoulie (out of Chicago) still shows it on his "scary" B-rated movie show. Are you familiar with him? When The Fly cries, "Help me", as the spider is weaving him into the web...oh, yikes!

Flies are awful creatures, that looks like a scary one on the cover of the dvd. Great review, I should send you dvds of the horror movies I was in - they stink though. You were very accurate with the movie prices and snacks. Have a nice weekend! XO

Wow, and humans wonder why we kill flies so much. We don't want that to come to be.

Tamago said...

Oh gosh, large flies are the true horror! But the ones landing on our food are the worst!
I've not seen De Fly made in 1958 but I saw the newer one when I was a child. I no longer have a courage to watch that movie again!

You guys are some brave kitties to watch such a scary movie. If one of them landed on our house we would surely be under the bed!

That movie is pretty darn creepy cool!

It is a great time of year to pull out all the scary movies! The Fly is a pawsome choice for kitties such as yourself. My Dexter would like to see a remake of this titled "The Sky Raisin".

Annie Bear said...

The lady would be cursing a blue streak too if she saw fly that size! Staying home and watching movies is the best! Well, if there are plenty of snacks around. The lady saw the remake years ago and bets the original is better. Who's a better actor than Vincent Price?

What bout da scariest movie of all - Da BURDS!

Yikes!
We are glad that flies do not get that big!
We are also glad we do not have to shoo them off our foods.
Great review as usual :)

Good movie for this time of year. My wife and I like to do as many spooky movies as possible during October. :)

That is a very scary movie. We have the curse of the flies here because they are trying to come indoors into the warmth. Mum opened the big bedroom window yesterday to shoo out some that were buzzing around, and about elebenty billion flew out from the rubber seals.

Love The Fly. The one with David Hedison, later Captain Lee Crane of the submarine Seaview. Help me, help meeee. In that creepy little voice.

Hi guys!!! That is a scary movie! You know, we had a fly in our apartment, but Lexy and I took care of him. We can't wait to vote for Smoke and Joe in a few weeks!

Ooh I love spooky, creepy movies *any* time of the year, not just Halloween! I'll have to check this one out :)

Oooo, our Mom remembers De Fly movie (Help me! HELP ME! *shudders*) and personally, she'd like to see a reboot of that one, written to fit these times, naturally, like Grand Theft Auto with De Flies for gamers, De Selfie Fly for those who insist everyone has to see them but with a fly on their forehead, De Texting while Driving Fly because everyone else seems to do it so why not, and lastly, for those old schoolers, Pretty De Fly for a White Guy in which the fly wears a dress. Yeah, we think that's all she mentioned... and that ought to be enough for anyone!

Cathy Keisha said...

HAH! That fly is bigger than our condo I think. I'd give it the darn potato salad and get outta there. Even hear the songs Human Fly or I Am the Fly? They're kinda spooky too.

Marg said...

We never did see that movie, but way too scary for our Mom. You all have a great day.

Hannah and Lucy said...

We like the scary movies but our Mum goes to bed and pulls the covers over her head!

OMC The Fly dudes, what were mew guys thinking???? Next mew'll be telling us mew watched the original Night of the Living Dead 1990 edition - like don't effur watch that mooovie and don't watch, Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 edition or The Shining, or The Thing... we could go on with our list but we'd be here all night and we're sure mew have like dinner and stuff and napping and stuff to do - the P.A. hates horror movies yet she'll watch Aliens - go figure!!! Hope mew all have a terrific week XOX

"The Fly" was a good one, all right, especially that unsettling ending.I felt as though I was in "The Ants" earlier this year: not as frightening, but very annoying...

meowmeowmans said...

Oh yeah, the Fly is creepy and scary for sure. We, too, would tell it to get its azz off of our potato salad!

We think we'll skip this one. That fly sounds really nasty and too big for Astrid to catch and eat. Mom says she saw it when she was a kid and once was enough! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
