We are loving these cards from years gone by, Mack. They truly don't make them like that anymore. And to think, they were created by artists who drew them by hand. So cool.

Very pretty. Mine Mommy has a bunch that look a lot like yours but sometimes they give her the sadz cause all the peoples who sent them long ago are not here anymore. But it's still nice to look at them. She says back then too, peoples had very nice "penmanship", that is kinda-sorta a thing of the past you know. Sigh. Meowz.

It's cool that she saved those for so long. My cards get thrown out after Christmas.

I truly enjoyed seeing these old cards from the 40's. I haven't seen any old cards except for the ones Dad found between the walls when he was renovating the old old home he bought for us. Lots of those cards had been dropped between the walls. Go figure! A zillion razor blades too in the bathroom when he put in new fixtures.

Charlee: "Those old cards were really something else! We approve of the one with a cat on it, even if someone did dress the cat up in a tie."
Chaplin: "Yes, we understand things were more formal back in the day."
Lulu: "Our Mama and Dada have a big cardboard box full of old greeting cards out in the garage. Every year they add more cards to it. Someday the bottom layers will probably form some kind of fossilized record of greeting cards from the early 2000s ..."

Those vintage cards were so much nicer than the stuff one buys nowadays. Of course, We refurr to commercial cards - not the beautiful cards that pet pawrents make featuring their kitties and woofies, of course.

So cool that the FSG has these gems her mom saved. My favorite is the cat with the parachute.
