On bended knee (which is hard for old ladies to do) we humbly apologize for eating da burdz and stuffin' from da buttz. T'was ate yesterday cause that's when da free mealz was given out in this old folks senior building. You eat what's on the plate in front of you, SPECIALLY if'n it's FREE. If it is any consolation to you, tomorrow we will partake of a lowly hot dog, sans bun, since we have none of those.

Thanksgiving is one more thing that originated in my birth country The Netherlands, in Leiden, the city of Rembrandt. It got celebrated there since 1574. They started this upon the Siege of Leiden when they finally got liberated from the 80–year war with Spain.
Later, the Pilgrims came from England and lived for 12 years in Leiden before making the journey on the Mayflower...
