Hmmm, okay, maybe they weren't the best interviewees. Next year you can try for a nosy neighbour or two, and get the real dirt! ;-)

CJ Kennedy said...

Groundhogs. I'm surprised they even sat still for you. We used to have a groundhog (woodchuck). We called him Woody. I know not too original. One little noise and he'd take off like bat out of...well. Ink loved to watch him. Ink called him Snack. Have a great week!

OMCod, baby chuckies, soooo cute.
If you have an opportunity please pit stop by today.

This made my day. Good job, guys. We understand that interviewing rodents can be tricky, especially young ones. Great pictures, too!

Hannah and Lucy said...

What great pictures guys. Mum is still scared of some of the rodents so we have to try and hide her from them!

Eastside Cats said...

Excellent interviewing skills! Too bad they won't say NUTHIN'! Ya know, ground hogs are also called wood chucks, so the question is: How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Annie Bear said...

I do remember those previous interviews. This family sure has a way with words. They don't use them! I think they like to keep an air of mystique. You guys asked all the right questions though. You deserve some pizza pies for the great interview.

Jeanie said...

I came from Sandra's! Delightful. But oh, how I want spring NOW!

stellaroselong said...

Oh my pugs we laughed and laughed and laughed at their names, we tried to laugh quietly though so not to insult them, cos we hate winter and we need some sun soon. Thanks for sharing that interview it was grand. stella rose

This is getting ridiculous, all the time you have spent with these beasts and they won't answer a single question. Maybe next year you could interview Bill Murray or the guy that yanks Phil out of the ground :) Have a nice weekend. X0

Pat Hatt said...

Those rodents are tricky little buggers to nail down, but at least they can make good head holes.

Tamago said...

LOL great interview! It's not just you and the interveiw seemed a bit one sided but that's all right. They are just like their mom and dad. Though those stink eyes talked a lot in a way :-)

Deziz World said...

OMC Is it dat time again already? Kittens!!! Time just flies by. We're thinkin' it should slow down just a bit. Well, maybe not till spring, but then ifin time could just slow a bit we should would purreciate it. Great innerviews. Well, least on ya'll's pawrt. MOLO Big hugs to all.

Luv ya'

Tabbies, they were purretty cagey about effurything!!! We don't have groundhogs in the UK, but I think we should get some here in Sleepy Hollow! MOL Loved the interview though, we think mew did a pawesome job, roll on spring! Bestest purrs Basil & Co xox

Good one gang! Woodchuck? I don't know, he might!

Herman and Dori said...

Dang, you guys are right on top of things. If I got to intermew a groundhog...I'd ask him why he don't bite the guy who whooshes him up into the air ever February 2nd. If somebody whoosed me into the air like they do him...I'd bite the heck outta their hands. Or widdle on them. Just saying...

Erin the Cat Princess said...

Hmm, those guys sure weren't keen, where they. Maybe they need a fee for appearing, and speaking, and predicting. Anyways you did well in a bad spot and I think I'd just head home and check my seaweed and report it that way.

Amazing you got so close to them to ask your questions. :) Hope you all have a great weekend. Skipper is doing much better. Over the last few months she has been seen by many different vets including her own. No one know what caused the latest bought of sickness. Thankfully she is doing better now.

Angels Amber and Max DaWeenie and Mom said...

You gots to interview them? OMD! I would probably try to have them fur breakfast! BOL

Cats Herd You said...

Nice job getting the interview at all. No one else has even gotten close enough to ask questions! They're tough kids, aren't they?

The Island Cats said...

Well, they didn't say much...but did they see their shadows??

The Daily Pip said...

They aren't a very chatty family ...maybe they have their own groundhog secret language. Maybe next year we should give them a little tickle under their chin and see if that gets them talking. Rosie is shaking her head ...thinking they might not like being tickled by some kitties and doggies.

Beth Waltz said...

Do be careful! One notices the dapper gentleman handling Phil wears elegant Kevlar (bullet proof, chuck proof?) gloves!

Cat Lover said...

Hmmmmm, very subdued aren't they? Give nothing away!
Thanks for sharing!

Me said...

Maybe they will talk if you bring food. We used to have a garden with flowers and veggies and stuff and they always managed to make a bit or two or ten. Love the pics! Happy week-o-end, Bibi & MEe

Cathy Keisha said...

They want treats before they talk. Them are the rules. I'll bet Phil has a lot to say after a certain NYC mayor dropped him. Oh wait, that was Staten Island Chuck he dropped.

Boy, closed mouth (well, after a fashion) whistle pigs! BUT I don't believe anything they tell me unless!!! it is something I want to hear.

Dai$y, I love the offer, so let's charter our usual jet and fly to warmer climes and find mancat cabana boys. I'll bring some outfits we can share that'll just knock their socks off!

We're thinking it's all about the eye glares with this bunch. You know, the "I see you" eye glare, the "I SEE you" eye glare, and the "I SEE YOU, YOU WEIRDO" eye glare.

Dog guy is a varmint chaser...and though petcretary thinks they are rather cute...well, ya do not want them under your won den...just saying and two younguns tried to do that...dog-guy made short work of them...no he did not eat them, but he sure scared the you know what out of them so they ran to the back woods here and made whoopee there instead...and now dog-guy sticks his head in the den holes to tell them a thing or two...Grrr! Once he deaded one and then rolled on it...eeuuwwww!!

Last summer we had the grand-daddy of all chucks...he had it made...until dog-guy spotted him, BOL!!

We, the WBS have not seen any...wonder if they taste like a good salmon or trout?? MOL!

Lola The Rescued Cat said...

What a cute family! Did you know that one year the mayor of New York City dropped the ground hog that lived at the Staten Island Zoo? Animal lovers did not appreciate that!

Sandra Cox said...

Ground Chuck....Heh heh.
Y'all have a great weekend.

Saku said...

Those are some quiet rodents! They appawently don't understand that it takes two to have an interview.

Great monologue efuurybody! You tried. :)
