Those cards are fabulous, I love them! Your Grandma and your Mom sure have kept them in pristine condition! (I'm guessing because they've kept them away from certain furry family members)

Marvelous cards, they remind the mom bean of the ones she gave to her school mates hundreds of years ago (or maybe naps). She didn't keep any of the ones she got though. Happy belated heart day!

Enjoyed your cards today. I have a few of my own but I desire not to spend a day digging through the closet looking. At your request I put up the 100 year old valentines today with a bonus photo of the original collector.

These cards from the 1940s are wonderful. They have such a lovely vintage feel and feel good sentiments, too. Dai$y would love the one with the purse! Happy belated Valentine's Day. Congrats on your win from CJ, too.

Those are wonderful vintage cards. Would you frame them somehow, or otherwise display them? They're worth it, such treasured keepsakes. ♥

Dani and I love vintage cards, too. We had one that Dani found and put it in our Valentines post. It kind of looked like Dani, too. Yours are very cool as well.
Now Daisy, although you found one fish on our post today, there are some others. June has a starfish on her hat, and there are a few fishies swiimming in the vase beside her. I'm sure you were the ony one who looked at all, though, so thanks for your purrticipation. Hugs, Wendy & Dani, and Happy Belated Valentines, too.

That's amazing that she still has those. Some of those cards look familiar. I don't think I kept mine much past the next day back then.

I like those cute little cards; I'm glad they were saved. Though why is the baby bird playing golf still wearing part of his shell? If he can play golf, then surely... Oh, never mind.

I love how you share these vintage Valentines every year. It looks like on the one someone wrote don't over the want in I Want You to be My Valentine. :)

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day!

My mom's Daddy found dozens of these old Valentines in the walls of the house he bought us which was built in 1900. He saved them, but Mom said she doesn't know if her brothers who were living in the same town threw them out before she could get there when her Dad passed.

Momma Kat and Her Bear Cat (Katherine Kern) said...

They don't make them like they used to. I recently came across boxes of mine from elementary school - but none were as gorgeous as these!

Kitties Blue said...

These were absolutely great. They look like the Valentines kids exchanged in the 50s. Mom remembers in grammar school they they would always decorate shoeboxes in which their schoolmates placed the Valentine’s. Our mom says she was really shy and so never got very many. She knows she didn’t save any. We hope you all had a wonderful V Day!
